Why this blog? For many years I was a BBC arts correspondent covering the UK theatre scene. In 2017 I changed jobs and entered the somewhat less showbiz world of global news. I still love to escape to the theatre as often as I can and with London’s West End just a Boris bike ride away, I thought I’d get back into writing about the plays, the actors, the creatives and the excitement of opening nights.
